According to Bloomberg`s first ever international bank rating, National Bank made the number 1 spot in North America.  Canada has 5 banks in the top 20.

Canadian banks have higher capital ratios then anywhere in the world.  Capital ratio are one of the most important strengths of any bank and was a major component Bloomberg’s ratings.  Capital is a sourse of financial strength and can act a  shock absorber against losses or when the economy hits a rough patch.
